SCHOOL BOARD MEETING 5/13/08

May 15, 2008

Hello beloved,

Abraham Lincoln said “The philosophy of the school room of this generation will be the philosophy of government in the next.” How true this is. And the philosophy taking over our schools is athiestic and it glorifies sin; namely homosexuality. The question is “What are we going to do about it?” Well, though you might feel all alone, don’t let that stop you from voicing the truth. I did this Tuesday night at the Mecklenburg County school board meeting. I was nervous as can be, but I did it anyway. God gave me a loud and clear voice. Praise the Lord! It’s time we stand up, beloved, and take back our schools!

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.”
As a nation, our schools rank at the bottom when competing most other nations. There are even third world countries that rank above us. I’m sure that, as a school board, you often times frustrate yourselves trying to find a way to boost our cities’ test scores. The only conclusion you come to is lowering the standards of tests to make them appear higher. And you will continue to make these foolish decisions until you come to terms with the fact that the only answer is teaching our children the fear of God!

Today, you can take a huge step in that direction if you do something about this day of silence and your anti-bullying policy. Both of these are just devices used by Satan to glorify homosexuality. Proverbs 8:13 says “To fear the Lord is to hate evil…” By allowing these abominable policies, you are embracing evil and leading our children into a pit of muck and mire. The sin of homosexuality destroys lives.

I wish that I could say it is hard for me to believe that you are teaching our children that homosexuality is a wonderful thing, but it’s not. After all, when you teach them that they are nothing more than animals evolved from slime, it is only logical that you would also teach them to act like animals. You must repent! You need to start calling sin, sin!

Proverbs 17:15 says “Acquitting the guilty and condemning the innocent – the Lord detests them both.”You must repent! These kids, by having their day of silence, are causing a distraction and they need to be disciplined, not praised. And you need to stop condemning the innocent. Homosexuality is a sin that will lead someone straight to hell! When a teenager preaches this at his school, you had better not condemn him and try to block the word of God!

Our children are drowning in a sea of lies. So, let me ask you something. If you were the only lifeguard on duty, and a toddler falls into the pool and starts drowning, what are you going to do? Would you not save that child? Of course you would! It is not only your job, but your conscience tells you that it is the right thing to do! Well, beloved, these chairs you sit in today are lifeguard towers. Our children have fallen in the pool, on your watch! What are you going to do?

I must warn you, beloved, that every person on this planet will die some day. You will die some day. The Bible says that it is appointed once for every man to die and after this is the judgment. There is a day coming to each of you when you will have to give an account for everything you’ve ever done. So, beloved, you must repent! Repent today and fall on the Rock, Christ Jesus. For, if you don’t fall on the Rock, there will come a day that the Rock crushes you. And make no mistake about it, you will stand before Jesus Christ one day. And whether you do it today, or you wait until that horrible day of judgment, you will bow your knee and confess that Jesus Christ is Lord!

LIFESTYLE EVANGELISM (revisited)

May 6, 2008

Hello beloved,

I like to read stuff that I have written in the past. It shows me where I was, and sometimes, I ask myself “Where in the world was I?” But then I remember. It is wonderful to see where God has taken you and where He has taught you things. As I read this, it reminded me of several people that God brought to my mind that have blessed me so much to just be around. I hope you enjoy it.

I was just thinking of what us evangelicals call “Lifestyle Evangelism”. If I am not mistaken, lifestyle evangelism entails encouraging others to become acceptive of Christianity by demonstrating their faith by living a good or holy life. Apparently, this form of evangelism is looked on by many as being more effective than one-to-one witnessing, open-air preaching and distributing tracts. That is definitely not true.

From all of the things I have heard about lifestyle evangelism, it sounds like it’s basically being a Christian. If you are a Christian, you don’t have to go out of your way to become a “lifestyle evangelist”. All you have to do is be a Christian.

My point is that, yes, we are called to lifestyle evangelism, but that’s not enough. We need to go forth, boldly, and proclaim the Word of God. Romans 10:14 says “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” I won’t elaborate on this. I don’t have to. The Word of God is all that needs to be stated. Now, go!

I would like to take the opportunity to end this article with some more words of encouragement. I know some of you(that visit my blog) personally and I would like to say that I am blessed to even know you. You set such great examples of true disciples. You have truly taken up your cross daily, denied yourselves and follow hard after Jesus. Thank you for being such great examples. I know it gets tough when you are always traveling, or getting yelled at, or when you simply feel that your ministry is just ineffective. So be encouraged, beloved. Your ministry is not ineffective. You are taking the gospel of Jesus Christ where it needs to go. Thank you for being such faithful ministers of His Word. Thank you.

In Christian love,
Adam

P.S. And thanks, most of all, to my beautiful wife, Paige.
